Each season, Hawaii Performing Arts Festival is pleased to offer a limited number of fellowships in the areas of voice (The Margareta and Staffan Encrantz Vocal Fellowship Program), collaborative piano/music directing, stage directing, and stage management. Upon completion of an international search, the HPAF artistic staff identifies a select group of outstanding young artists who they believe to be on the verge of major careers in these areas. HPAF is proud to provide fellows with a full-tuition waiver, housing, and on-campus meals. During their residency, fellows work closely with the festival’s world-class faculty and artistic staff. The fellowship programs are supervised by Justin John Moniz & Val Underwood (vocal), James Meyer (collaborative piano/music directing), and Scott Skiba (stage directing).
