Maika’i Nash

Maika’i Nash

Vocal Coach

Hawaiian pianist Maika‘i Nash is from a new generation of vocal coaches and pianists in North America. He recently returned home to Hawaii after working in Bogotá, Colombia when he joined the staff at HOT as Head Coach and Répétiteur. He was previously a vocal coach at the University of Toronto, The Royal Conservatory of Music, and McGill University and his own studies have taken him to Montréal, Vienna, Paris and Italy. Throughout his work at a number of opera houses and universities, he has worked with renowned musicians and pedagogues such as Barbara Bonney, Elly Ameling, Christine Goerke, Laura Claycomb, Richard Margison, Anton Kuerti, Barry Banks, and Quinn Kelsey.
