Enjoying the Concert

Simple ways to enhance your concert enjoyment

  • Know the Agenda:  Why walk in without a clue?  Learn what the program is and who’s performing.
  • Research Online:  Visit Google.com, type in the names of the composers, compositions, soloists, etc. and read up.  Research this site frequently for new information.

Hear the Music:  Listen to Hawaii Public Radio.  There are countless web sites devoted to the arts. Several music sites offer reasonably priced subscriptions, such as Naxos.com.  If you visit classical.com, you can hear a 60-second sample for free, or download the entire segment for less than $1.

Arrive Early:  Check the schedule to find out about pre-concert talks.  If none, grab a program, relax and read up.

Stay Late:  All audience questions are welcome.  If there is no official post-concert event, stick around and talk with the performers.

Write A Review:  Let us know how you felt about the concert.
