2012 FESTIVAL OVERVIEW
The HPAF Vocal Program is an intensive study and performance opportunity for singers and instrumentalists to learn from an internationally renowned faculty in the inspiring and nurturing setting of the Big Island of Hawaii.
Singers receive multiple private voice lessons and repertoire coachings each week. Daily classes are also offered in acting, dance, repertoire, diction, and yoga, with several master classes each week presented by faculty artists.
2012 Festival performances opportunities include:
Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte (staged)
Handel’s L’Allegro, il Penseroso, ed il Moderato (semi-staged with early instruments)
Lute & Lieder concerts (Baroque art songs and arias plus German Lieder)
Opera Scenes (staged)
TropicGLEE III (staged and choreographed musical theater revue)
Musical Theater Scenes (staged)
Young Artists Showcase
Recitals
Public Masterclasses
Vocal performers are not limited to choose between opera and musical theater. Singers who wish to gain experience in both need only express this interest during the audition process.

Applications are being accepted for the following categories:
Young Artists (ages 14 through entering college freshmen*)
Developing Artists (college undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate, up to age 35)
Professional Fellows (a limited number of professional fellowships may be offered on an “as needed” basis)
* Entering college freshmen may be assigned to the Developing Artists category at the Administration's discretion.

Tuition & Fees
$3345 - This fee includes room & board in Kamuela, HI for the duration of the festival.
